PRESQUE ISLE – MPG Truck & Tractor’s Double L 4-Row Airhead Harvester has been drawing considerable attention since its arrival to The County. Dozens of local growers have stopped by the MPG Truck & Tractor lot just to have a look at the hefty harvester. MPG is the first to bring a 4-row air harvester to Aroostook County.
“Our goal is to be the highest quality equipment provider in the region,” said Lynwood Winslow, manager of MPG Truck & Tractor. “We are very excited to be the first to bring in a 4-row harvester specifically designed to work efficiently in the conditions that our northern Maine growers experience.
“This harvester exhibits the latest cutting edge technology and innovation in the potato farming industry,” he said.
The Double L 883 4-Row pull-type Airhead Harvester is weighted in smart engineering and a solid build. This harvester dominates in the field. The vacuum features an 800-pound fan, resulting in higher productivity and efficiency. The Double L keeps its precious potatoes predominantly bruise free, harvesting up to 200 tons per hour.
