Daisy Mae, a foster orphaned kitten at the Halfway Home Pet Rescue (HHPR), has been promised a home on Dec. 10 when she will be old enough to finally leave the shelter. She is already dreaming about “having it all” at her new home; her only “bone of contention” is protecting her precious rawhide bone from other cats while she sleeps. Daisy Mae first latched onto the bone when it was donated to the pet food pantry. Daisy Mae was taken in at the shelter after her mother was been hit by a car in New Sweden. Additional adoptable cats can be viewed at petfinder.com or www.halfwayhomepetrescue.org. HHPR will be host a Cat Adoption Fair and a Nicely Used This and That Fundraiser on Saturday, Dec. 4 from noon to 4 p.m. at Toby’s Treasures, 246 Sweden St. in Caribou.
