Athletes honored

CARIBOU — Caribou High School held its fall sports awards night Nov. 15. Special recognition went to team MVP selections, letter sweater recipients and four-year letter winners.

Athletes named most valuable in their respective sports were the following: Ben Wyman and Matt Kamm, varsity golf; Garrett Jordan, boys varsity soccer; Jenna Selander, girls varsity soccer; Christian Sleeper, boys varsity cross country; Ron Lund, boys JV cross country; Mackenzie Belyea, girls varsity cross country; Chelsea Bard, girls JV cross country; Matt Manter, boys JV soccer; and Alissa Randolph, girls JV soccer.

Letter sweaters, for accumulating seven varsity letters during their high school careers, went to Mary Jo Sheehan, Katie Plourde, Caleb Chapman and Matt Till.

Six athletes earned recognition for earning four letters in one sport during their careers. The recipients were Sleeper, Sheehan, Dayna Michaud, Nate Rossignol, Selander and Lydia Kieffer.

Coach Andrew Kirby presented letters to the following members of the girls JV soccer team: Alexa Massey, Sam Adams, Reanna Plourde, Angelita Hernandez, Rebecca McDougal, Briana Rossignol, Regan Buck, Alana Sirois, Clara Collins, Kristin Plante, Amanda Violette, Mallorie Cyr, Haley Hunter, Alissa Randolph, Chaya Karunasiri, Samantha Carny, Kelsie Espling, Delaney Williams, Annie Collins, Gabby Gorence, Erin Madore, Emma Duplissie-Cyr, Sabrina Haney and managers Chelsea Martin and Victoria Keaton.

Coach Todd Albert presented awards to the following members of the Eastern Maine Class B champion girls varsity soccer team: certificate: Rebecca McDougal; letters: manager Alyson Michaud, Rahel Donner, Katelynn Tardie, Kendra Stephens and Laura Collins; plaques: Kayla Collins, Ginger Kieffer, Olivia Sleeper, Meredith Sleeper, Hannah Hebert, Sarae Sager, Samantha Murchison, Katie Keaton and Madison Outing; trophies: Jamie Martin, Paige Small, Jessica Zbylut, Tia McHatten, Morgan Swan and Demarre Doody-Corriveau; jackets: Jenna Selander and Lydia Kieffer.

Coach Shawn Savage presented awards to the following members of the varsity golf team: letters: Michael Boone, Corey Rideout and Connor Thibeault; plaques: Reggie Rideout, Ben Wyman and Derek Dufour; trophies: Caleb Chapman and Matt Kamm.

Coach Keegan Wakana presented letters to the following members of the boys JV soccer team: Nick Matlock, Nolan McDuffie, Zac Gorence, Shawn Holmquist, Preston Jackson, Cody Carmichael, Josh Kovach, Lucien Caverhill, Kevin Strid, Sean Barbosa, Dylan Cyr, Dustin MacDougal, Michael Selander, David Pelkey, Ezra Duplissie-Cyr, Aaron Losieniecki and Cole Sirois.
