For the last five years, Katahdin Valley Health Center employees held a fundraising event to provide Thanksgiving baskets for local families. This year, 25 KVHC employees donated a total of $850 toward this event. In keeping with its philosophy and mission, the KVHC organization matched the employee donations. Because of this generosity, KVHC employees surpassed all of the previous years and were able to provide 68 Thanksgiving baskets to local community members in Millinocket, Patten, Island Falls, Houlton and surrounding communities. Each basket had everything needed to provide a complete Thanksgiving meal. On Nov.19, employees of KVHC delivered all of the baskets.
