sp-mcnally-dcx-pt-48BIG PRIZE — John McNally and his Dad Jamey McNally of Patten pose with the bull moose they shot on Oct. 14, during the second week of the 2010 Maine moose hunt. John turned 10 in September and won a moose permit on his first try. The bull’s antler spread measured an impressive 65 inches with 19 points and the bull dressed out at 800 pounds. The moose was tagged at Porter’s Service Station in Island Falls, where John was informed the 65-inch antler spread was possibly the largest Porter’s had recorded in four or five years. John used a Marlin 7mm-08 bolt action rifle in bringing down the moose.
