CARIBOU – The Caribou Vikings wrestling team hosted its first meet of the season Saturday, with the hosts and Fort Kent both wrestling against Woodland of Baileyville, Washington Academy of East Machias and Piscataquis Community High School of Guilford.
The wrestling season got under way in earnest Saturday as Caribou hosted a meet which also included Fort Kent, Washington Academy, Piscataquis Community HS of Guilford and Woodland. In photo at left, Jake Maher looks for an opportunity to take down Ethan Davis of Washington Academy. Maher, Caribou’s 171 lb. wrestler, ended up pinning Davis in a time of 1 minute and 8 seconds.
Caribou came away with three lopsided victories on the afternoon to successfully kick off their season.
