Local free throw champs named

    Five boys ages 10-14 were named local champions of the 2011 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship and have earned the right to compete at the district level. Houlton Council 1873 sponsored the local competition at Hodgdon High School last Saturday. All youngsters, ages 10 to 14, were eligible to participate.
    The champions were  Nick Perfitt, age 10; Colby Callnan, age 11; Daden Palmer, age 12; Parker Brewer, age 13 and Triston Larson, age 14.
    Runners up were Nick Brewer, age 10; Dylan Oliver, age 11 and Jordon Merritt age 12.
    Knights of Columbus Council 1873 wishes to thank SAD 70 and the Hodgdon varsity boys basketball team for their assistance in making this a fun and successful competition.
