The American Legion would like to thank everyone for their continued support last year. A special thank you goes to Mark Kelly for his numerous donations to the group. It was greatly appreciated.
Births/anniversaries
On Feb. 2, Sam Hazelton and Galen Holmes III have a birthday. Also Feb. 2 is Mallard and Flora Ireland’s anniversary.
Guy Bernard Hussey, Amber Bradley and Samantha Fuller will all be another year older on Feb. 3.
On Feb. 4, Jonah Bacon, Carrie Pelletier, Patrick Lovely and Ashley Hull will be celebrating their birthdays. Also on that day Dwight and Sally Flewelling will be celebrating their anniversary.
On Feb. 5, Jim Trook, Logan McPherson, Budd Nicholson Sr. and Lena Dunnarummo have a birthday. Fred and Judy Shaw will be celebrating their anniversary on Feb. 5 as well.
On Feb. 8, Terry Hafford, Jeff Tompkins, Holden Turner, Eric Gray and Kody Carter all become another year older. Have a great day.

Bears and Lady Bears
Thank you so much to all of our Easton Bears’ and Lady Bears’ players. We have enjoyed watching you this season and you have all played very well. We appreciate how hard you work. Good luck the rest of the season and we will see you all in Bangor on the Bangor Auditorium court.

Home for visit
Mark and Carole Smith were home in Easton last weekend visiting with his mom, Ezalee Smith, and other family members. While here, they took in a basketball game in Ashland with the Easton Bears. The family also celebrated Ezalee’s birthday.
Rec calendar
Wednesday, Feb. 2 — Junior activities for ages 2 and up at the hall from 9:30-11 a.m. YAP meetings 11:30 a.m. and noon. Seniors’ exercise at 1 p.m. in the recreation room at the manor. Grade 5 and 6 girls’ basketball practice from 2:45 to 4 p.m. in the elementary school gym. Sneakin’ in Science program after school until 4:15 p.m. at the hall; pre-registration required. Grade 5 and 6 boys’ basketball practice from 5:45 to 7 p.m. in the elementary school gym.
Thursday, Feb. 3 — Seniors’ Valentine’s Day party starting at 11:15 a.m. Little Bears’ grades 1 and 2, 3 and 4 will be playing Limestone at home at 3 and 3:45 p.m.
Friday, Feb. 4 — Junior activities 9:30-11 a.m. at the hall. Open to ages two and up. Seniors’ Healthy Lifestyles Class begins at noon in the recreation room at the manor. Lunch will be provided free of charge starting at 11:15 a.m. Zumba Gold from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. at the hall; pre-registration recommended.
Saturday, Feb. 5 — Round Robin in Easton; times TBA.
Monday, Feb. 7 — Senior Nutrition Class starting at 11 a.m. in the recreation room at the manor. After-school program, “Power Up,” with Chris Finemore from the Cooperative Extension. Children must have a note for their classroom teacher and should be picked up at the hall at 4:15 p.m.
Tuesday, Feb. 8 — Grade 5 and 6 girls and boys vs. Limestone at home at 4 and 5 p.m. Zumba Gold from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. at the hall; pre-registration recommended.
