Tractor Supply to host feline adoption fair
PRESQUE ISLE — The Tractor Supply store on the Houlton Road in Presque Isle will host a “Be My Valentine” cat/kitten adoption fair for the Halfway Home Pet Rescue (HHPR) pets on Saturday, Feb. 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, Feb. 13, from 1 – 4 p.m.
As well as several healthy, happy cats and kittens ready for adoption, the volunteers will have a Great White Elephant Table of many wonderful nice quality gifts from Toby’s Treasures. The gifts will be priced at only $1 – $4 and all the money will be applied to the vet bill of HHPR pets.
To add to your pleasure, there will be a hotdog, chips and soda concession lunch for $1 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday with special treats and surprises for the children. It is a time of happy family fun and the HHPR crew and the employees of the Tractor Supply Store hope you will join them.
The HHPR volunteers will also be selling tickets for a lucky 50/50 draw from now until Sunday at 3 p.m., with the proceeds marked for the future permanent home to be built for HHPR pets. Tickets are only $1 and can be purchased from any HHPR board member; Sharon Watson, Norma Milton, Sandra and Garrick Milton, Mike Loux, Kelly Leblanc, Anne Price, Julie Damboise, Robyn Smith and David and Ruby Bickford. The lucky winner will be drawn at 3 p.m. at the Tractor Supply Store and the winner will receive 50 percent of the proceeds and the HHPR building account will receive the other 50 percent.
There will be several door prizes and you do not have to be present to win.
