Gov. Paul LePage, left, holds a necktie presented to him by Rep. Peter Edgecomb (R-Caribou). The necktie, titled, “No More Homeless Children,” was designed by an 11-year-old student named Nicole (last name withheld). Her design was selected through an art contest sponsored by the non-profit organization, Save the Children. Rep. Edgecomb felt the tie was an appropriate gift for Gov. LePage, who was a homeless child at the age of 11.
