BU-Rotary-dcx-pt-3The Houlton Rotary learned about the upcoming World Cup Biathlon at it’s Jan. 10 meeting. Event planner Steve Towle, representing the Nordic Heritage Ski Center in Presque Isle, spoke about the upcoming World Cup Biathlon event that will be held in Presque Isle and then Fort Kent. Towle said it was a big event for northern Maine and will involve more than 450 volunteers. From the opening ceremonies in Presque Isle on Feb. 3 to the closing ceremonies in Fort Kent on Feb. 13, spectators will be treated to thrilling Olympic-level competition in the pristine natural beauty of northern Maine.
