To the editor:
On Jan. 14, my wife took me to Houlton Regional Hospital emergency room. I had what I believed was pneumonia. I explained my symptoms. Dr. Anderson checked me at first and then turned me over to Dr. Ryan. I had just come through a heart attack on Dec. 3. I didn’t realize I was having another one.
Dr. Ryan and the super E.R. nurse, Catherine, worked most of the day to stabilize me. Dr. Ryan was honest and to the point with us. He made arrangements to send me back to Bangor.
I got the help I needed and I’m back home now. My thanks and praise go out to this great team.
