CONCORD, NH – Lila Nora Craig, 87, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at Concord Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born in Westfield, ME, she was the daughter of Jason and Lela (Perkins) Corey.
She worked as a baker in food services for the Concord Union School District, beginning in 1969, and retiring in 1997. She was a long time member of First Congregational Church, a member of the church’s women’s group and was a volunteer for the Church’s food pantry. She was an avid Celtics Fan, enjoyed quilting and enjoyed activities at Horse Shoe Pond. She also enjoyed traveling to her grandchildren’s activities.
Survivors include one son, Stuart Craig and his wife, Carolyn of Barrington; four daughters: Donna R. Craig, Beverly Smith and her husband, Jeff, Susan Newton, and Connie Garland and her husband, Robert, all of Concord; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Craig in 1969; and by two sisters, Ruby Lunney in 2005, and Velma Bull in 2009.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
