Black Hawk 100-point scorers

Ben Ward recently became the third player in the short history of the Houlton-Hodgdon Black Hawk high school hockey program to notch 100 points. Ward tallied a goal in the recent Orono game to join a very exclusive club. The only other 100-pointers are Ben Carton and Ian Pasquarelli.
Carton became the first 100-point scorer early in his senior season and ended his career for the Black Hawks with 124 points. He was among the leading scorers for the team in all four of his years. Carton was an original Black Hawk and one of the players that helped bring the program quickly to prominence in high school hockey,” said coach Joel Trickey.
Pasquarelli hit the 100-point mark late in his junior year, which was Carton’s senior season. He played on a line with Carton and Jared Sylvia, which was one of the Black Hawks’ most prolific scoring lines in their history combining for 94 points that season.
Pasquarelli also led the team in scoring all four seasons he played for the Black Hawks and ended his career with 157 points.
“He was a key player on the only team to play in the Eastern Maine finals, a feat that we hope this year’s team surpasses,” said Trickey.
