PRESQUE ISLE — The annual OTC Fun Day will take place today, weather permitting, with snowmobile rides and a free lunch for participants to enjoy.
The event will be held at the Aroostook County Shrine Club facility on the Houlton Road (U.S. Route 1) beginning at 8 a.m.
“Annually, the Presque Isle Snowmobile Club hosts the Fun Day for the clients of the Opportunity Training Center. This is a day that we give these special people snowmobile rides and treat them to a hamburger lunch,” said Dave Steeves, spokesperson for the PISC.
Club members team up with Shriners and other volunteers to make a most memorable day for all involved.
“The joy shown on their faces has made this annual event grow every year, not only in client participation but also in the number of snowmobilers giving of their time,” said Steeves.
Joining in past events have been members of the Mapleton, Castle Hill and Chapman Fire Department, the Presque Isle Police Department and the Presque Isle Fire Department.
