The Houlton Recreation Department held their Maine Recreation and Parks Association/Red Claws Hot Shot Competition on Feb. 9. The top three shooters in each age group qualified to continue on to the Regional Shoot-off in Caribou on Feb. 23.
Winners in the local competition were: Girls ages 9-10 first, Kolleen Bouchard; boys ages 9-10, first, Garrison Leavitt; second, Isaac Potter and third Jacob Wotton; girls ages 11-12, first, Rebecca Mooers; second, Rylee Warman and third, Carolyn Mooers; boys ages 11-12, first, Cameron Stevens; second, Dylan Crockett and third, Garrett Siltz; and boys ages 13-15 first, Nick Guiod.
