CARIBOU — Robert Paul Hill, age 84, of Front Royal, Virginia and Caribou passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at his home in Virginia.
A graveside service will be conducted on March 11, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Caribou, Maine.
Mr. Hill was born in St. Paul Minnesota on May 31, 1926. He was the son of the late David and Ruth Wheelock Hill. He was an engineer for Raytheon. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of both WWII and Korea. He was a member of the VFW Post 1860 and American Legion Post 58.
He was an avid reader and Protestant by faith.
Mr. Hill was predeceased by his wife, Priscilla Gagnon Hill. He is survived by his son, David Hill and his wife, Nancy of Mesa, Ariz.; his daughters, Deborah Martin and her husband, Tom of Linden, Virginia, Stephanie Hill of Lock Haven, Pa., Sherri Hudson of Front Royal, Va., Susan Hill of N. Springfield, Va., and Pamela Thompson and her husband, Paul of Caribou; his brother, David W. Hill of Ventura, Calif.; his sister, Mardi Lash of Delaware; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
