SHAW, Sheila Maureen (Nevers), 69, WASHBURN, February 14, 2011. There will be a celebration of her life Sat., March 12, from 1 to 4, in Mapleton.
Mrs. Sheila Maureen (Nevers) Shaw, 69, passed away peacefully Monday, February 14, 2011, after a brief illness, surrounded by her family at her home in Washburn.
Sheila was born on July 22, 1941, in Presque Isle, the daughter of James and Christine (Thomas) Garard.
She was a graduate of Presque Isle High School.
Sheila married the love of her life, Darrell, on January 18, 1957, and together they raised four children.
Sheila worked at Northeast Publishing and Viner Brothers Manufacturing, and obtained her C.N.A. certification in 1990.
Sheila was fun-loving and enjoyed life. She enjoyed reading, especially Stephen King novels, and listening to music. Her favorite was ZZ Top. She also enjoyed watching the Food Network and going to garage sales.
She is predeceased by her parents and her husband.
Sheila is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Jayne Parker of Mapleton, Mrs. Patrice Porter of Presque Isle, and Mrs. Cynthia Allen of Cross Lake; one son, James Shaw and his friend, Debbie of Easton; one brother, James Nevers and his wife, Pat of Presque Isle; six grandsons; three granddaughters; two great-grandsons; six great-granddaughters; aunts; uncles; nieces and nephews.
Those wishing to make a contribution in Sheila’s memory, may do so by donating to the Central Aroostook Humane Society. There will be a celebration of Sheila’s life Saturday, March 12, 2011, from 1 to 4, at her daughter, Jayne’s home, at 27 Wonderview Drive, in Mapleton.
