Vocal Jazz Festival set for Thursday

    The District 7 Vocal Jazz Festival will be held at Houlton High School Thursday, March 17. This event is a qualifying festival for groups to move onto the state competition in Ellsworth on April 2.  This festival is open to the public.
    Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for students and $10 for families. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. for the first group. There is no entry to the auditorium while a group is performing. Spectators should plan to get there early to hear your favorite ensemble.
    The schedule for the event is: Houlton Junior High Show Choir, 4 p.m.; Union 122 Show Choir, 4:25 p.m.; Caribou Middle School Show Choir, 4:50 p.m.; Easton High School Jazz Choir, 6 p.m., Presque Isle Jazz Choir, 6:25 p.m.; and Houlton High School Show Choir, 6:50 p.m.
