    SAN TAN VALLEY, Arizona – Betty Lou (Merry) Carter, 62, of San Tan Valley, Arizona, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2011 after a very courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Houlton, November 24, 1948, the daughter of Lawrence and Florence (Rouse) Adams.
    She is survived by her husband Guy Carter; son and daughter-in-law Lawrence and Jennifer Merry; daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Todd Sullivan; step-daughter Denise Carter; and granddaughter Kassandra Dumais. She was predeceased by her parents and first husband, Edmund L. “Bucky” Merry.
    Services were held at Valley of the Sun Mortuary, Chandler, AZ, March 19th at 10 a.m. Services and interment in Houlton will be announced by Dunn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the City of Hope – Samaritan Bone Marrow Transplant Program, Banner Health Foundation, P.O. Box 1897, Phoenix, AZ 85001.
