AR Linda Calway OBEllsworth — Linda Dianne (Garrison) Calway, 67, passed away Feb. 12, 2011, with her loving family by her side at her residence after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer. She was born  Aug. 30, 1943, in Mars Hill, the daughter of Bernie and Sadie (Holmes) Garrison.

Linda graduated from Easton High School in 1961, Salutatorian of her class. She was also crowned Miss Easton in 1961. Linda worked as a bookkeeper at Aucoin’s Restaurant in Presque Isle for 14 years. She was also employed as a waitress at the Jade Palace Restaurant in Caribou for nine years and also worked at the China Hill Restaurant in Ellsworth as a waitress for seven years until her retirement. A gifted musician, Linda loved playing her keyboard for family and friends. She loved the Maine coast and enjoyed collecting sea shells which she crafted into Christmas decorations. She also loved NASCAR and was a huge Red Sox fan.

She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Stuart Calway of Ellsworth and her adoring son, Adam Fitzherbert of Surry; grandchildren, Andrea, Spencer and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Alivia, Samuel, Alex, Savanna and Evangelina; dearest step-dad, Kempton Adams of Easton; brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Richie Landolfi of Stoughton, Mass.; Pam and Don Godwin of Hanson, Mass.; Pricilla and Bill Evans of Marshfield, Mass.; Ginni Calway of Halifax, Mass.; her dear aunt, Midge Bean of Newport Beach, Calif; and  many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be sadly missed by life long friends, Iola and Bill, Carolyn and Dennis, Suzie and Jerry, Keith, Billy and Juanita. Also dear friends, Brenda and Serrena. She was predeceased by her father, Bernie Garrison, mother, Sadie Snow, brother, Bernie “Bub” Garrison, sister Marie Osgood, sister, Rayma Philbrick.
