The final Big East Conference basketball statistics have been released, with several local players at or among the top in several categories.
On the girls’ side, Jenna Selander of Caribou led the way in scoring average with 18.61 points per game. Chandler Guerrette of Presque Isle was fourth at 12.67 ppg, Kayla Richards of PI was sixth at 11.17 ppg and Caribou’s Alexa Massey was just out of the top 10, ending up 11th at 9.72 ppg.
For field goal percentage, Guerrette was first at 48.84 percent, Massey sixth at 44.59 percent, Meredith Stewart of PI ninth at 39.52 percent and Richards 10th at 39.29 percent.
Free throw percentage: third, Guerrette, 69.51 percent; fourth, Richards, 68.97 percent; fifth, Massey, 68.25 percent; and sixth, Selander, 67.7 percent.
Three-point field goal percentage: sixth, Karlee Bernier of PI, 28.82 percent; seventh, Guerrette, 27.78 percent; and ninth, Megan Ireland of PI, 24.69 percent.
Rebounds: fifth, Stewart, 7.61 per game; and 11th, Selander, 5.61 per game.
Steals: second, Guerrette, 3.72 per game; fourth, Richards, 3.06 per game; sixth, Selander, 2.80 per game; and seventh, Chelsea Nickerson of PI, 2.67 per game.
Assists: first, Richards, 3.78 per game; and third, Guerrette, 3.5 per game.
For boys, Presque Isle’s Travis Dyer was the second-leading scorer at 15.06 points per game. Teammates Alex Tuttle (12.61) and Oliver Zubrick (12.5) were seventh and eighth, respectively. Caribou’s Matt Till was 10th at 11.61 per game and teammate Stephen St. Peter was 11th at 11.33 ppg.
Field goal percentage: first, Zubrick, 60 percent; fourth, Tuttle, 54.55 percent; and seventh, St. Peter, 50.38 percent.
Free throw percentage: second, Dyer, 80.36 percent; fifth, Zubrick, 70.79 percent; seventh, St. Peter, 65.69 percent; and eight, Chad Caverhill of Caribou, 65.57 percent.
Three-point field goal percentage: first, Dyer, 37.38 percent; and 12th, Till, 21.43 percent.
Rebounds: fourth, Tuttle, 7.94 per game; and eighth, Zubrick, 5.67 per game.
Steals: fifth, Caverhill, 1.94 per game; sixth, Till, 1.89 per game; and ninth, Roland Thibodeau of Caribou, 1.61 per game.
