The Harlem Superstars will take on the Caribou “Dream Team,” made up of school staff and community members, in a benefit basketball game Thursday, March 31 at 6:30 p.m. at Caribou High School.

The Superstars are a traveling basketball team that specializes in fund-raising events. The team features Kevin “Showboat” Jackson, Chris “Super Chicken” Turnquest and Ricky “7-Footer” Lopes, who promise to dazzle the crowd with their talent and comedic style. The team played at CHS last spring for a Project Graduation event and attracted a large crowd.

Making up the local “Dream Team” are coaches Chris Casavant, Ryan Deprey, Evan Graves, CHICO Hernandez, Andrew Kirby and Shawn Manter and community members Anthony Collins, Ghent Holdsworth and Scott Hunter.

Mark Rossignol will serve as an official.

The show will consist of a lot of fan-to-player interaction, including autograph sessions, dancing and high fives.

The event is a fundraiser for Steven Lagasse, a kidney transplant patient. Tickets are $7 in advance, and available at the CHS main office during school hours, or $8 at the door.
