The Houlton Rifle and Pistol Club will hold its 24th annual Gun Show Saturday and Sunday, April 16 and 17 at the John Millar Civic Center.
The two-day event will start at 9 a.m. and close for the evening at 5 p.m. on Saturday and open at 9 a.m. and finish at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $4 per attendee with youth under 12 admitted free.
Raffle tickets will be sold at the door for $1 each or six for $5 on the first-place prize of a Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22 rifle; second prize, Smith and Wesson Model 22A pistol and third prize a Smith and Wesson SWAT knife.
Food and beverages will be available for sale at the civic center.
If the 2010 event is any indication, vendors will be displaying more than guns and ammunition. They will be showing knives, holsters, clips, T-shirts, gun stocks, grips, scopes, ammo belts, reloading dies and game calls.
Last year’s show featured 17 dealers with a paid attendance of more than 700.
For those interested in the Houlton Rifle and Pistol Club, the group will hold its monthly meeting on May 1 at the range located adjacent to Houlton International Airport. At the meeting, scheduled to start at 7 p.m., a report will be given on the results of the 24th annual HRPC Gun Show, as well as the election of club officers.
All members are encouraged to attend.
