Dagan Savage of Caribou and Chrissy Skidgel of Presque Isle picked up championships in the 9-10 year-old division at the Maine Recreation and Parks Association/Red Claws Hotshot state championships held at the Portland Expo March 13.
Recognition was given to members of the school’s middle level, junior varsity and varsity basketball teams.
Middle level boys coach Pat Allen honored members of the team and presented special awards as follows: coaches award, Delaney Rossignol; most improved, Jackie Peers; and most valuable, Chelsey Pelkey.
Middle level girls coach Dustin Damboise honored members of the team and presented special awards as follows: coaches award, Zach Weatherhead; most improved, David Smith; and most valuable, Jeremy Biastre.
Junior varsity boys coach Joe Cote honored members of his team and presented special awards as follows: coaches award, Tristan Kirk; most improved, Dean Clavet; and most valuable, Bret Butler.
Junior varsity girls coach Ryan O’Neal honored members of his team and presented special awards as follows: coaches award, Mariah Williams; most improved, Jackie Peers; and most valuable, Chelsey Pelkey.
Varsity boys coach Jon Hamilton honored members of his team and presented special awards as follows: coaches award, Austin Dow-Smith; most improved, Brandon Thompson; and most valuable, Josh Forsman.
Varsity girls coach Robert Hancock honored members of his team and presented special awards as follows: coaches award, Amanda Allen; most improved, Kelsee Albert.
