CARIBOU – Ronald “Ron” J. Chapman, 62, passed away on April 17, 2011, in Hampden. He was born in Caribou, on October 20, 1948, the son of Donald and Ida (Brissette) Chapman.
He was a graduate of Caribou High School, served in the U.S. Army, and worked for the State of Maine in highway maintenance.
He is survived by his mother of Caribou; three children: Travis Chapman and his wife, Kellie and their children, Kacie and Evan of Presque Isle, Jolie Gibbs and her husband, Gary and their children, Matthew, Abby and Madison of Clifton, and Shawna Gilson and her husband, Al and their children, Zoey and Dallas of Bangor; a brother, Russell Chapman of Caribou; a sister, Ruth Nadeau and her husband, Gary of Caribou; and several nieces and nephews.
Ron was predeceased by his father; and a brother, Roger Chapman.
