CYR, Russell C., 86, Presque Isle, May 6, 2011. There will be no services.

PRESQUE ISLE – Russell C. Cyr, 86, died May 6, 2011. He was born December 29, 1924, in Presque Isle, the son of Claude and Alice (Rand) Cyr.

Russell was a communicant of St. John’s Episcopal Church.

He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Russ worked for New England Tel & Tel for 38 1/2 years.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Smith) Cyr; his daughter, Patricia Hutchings and her husband, Todd of Presque Isle; his son, Steven and his wife, JC of Castine; his grandson, Vaughn Hutchings and his wife, Jennifer of Gray; and his sister, Maxine Melendrez of Lakeside, CA.

In addition to this parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Ronald; his beloved son, Bryan; and his daughter-in-law, Janice (Haley) Cyr.
