Caribou Middle School April students of the Month

CARIBOU, Maine — Susan White, principal at the Caribou Middle School, and the CMS teachers recently announced the names of  Students of the Month for April.

Erin Kashian, a member of the sixth-grade SWAT team was selected as April Student of the Month by her teachers Mrs. Cathy Bouchard and Ms. Sarah LaJoie.

“Erin is a very helpful student, always willing to lend a hand to her peers or teachers when needed,” the CMS teachers stated. “And she is a hardworking student who is driven to inquire about topics unknown to her,” they added. Erin participates in the GT origami program offered at the school and is a member of the CMS Band and the cross country ski team.

Julia Page was named Student of the Month for April by her sixth-grade teachers Mr. John Pelletier and Mrs. Ruth Dionne.

The team teachers said, “Julia is an extremely hardworking and conscientious student who maintains an honor roll average. She is very respectful toward her peers and teachers and is always willing to help in any situation when she is called upon.”  The team teachers also stated, “Julia keeps busy with a variety of activities, participating in chorus and she was most recently chosen for All-Aroostook chorus. She is a member of the CMS Show Choir, which competed at the state level and enjoys cheerleading at the recreation department.”

Raylee Cloney, a seventh-grade student was named Student of the Month for April by CMS teachers Mrs. Kim Barnes, Mrs. Mary Curtis, Mrs. Holly Rhinebolt, Mr. Arik Jepson, Ms. Shelly Richardson and Mr. Steve Perreault.

Her teachers said, “One of Raylee’s greatest attributes is that she comes to school every day with a smile on her face. She embraces all challenges with a positive attitude and is respected by both her teachers and her peers. A model student, she  has continued to work hard throughout the year,” the teachers added. “Raylee also enjoys extracurricular activities outside of the school day and was a member of the CMS ski team this year.”

Matt Caron was selected as April’s Student of the Month by his grade-seven teachers Mrs. Barnes, Mrs. Curtis, Mrs. Rhinebolt, Mr. Jepson, Ms. Richardson and Mr. Perreault.

The team teachers stated, “Matt is a well-rounded student who is involved in school sports. As a member of the soccer and basketball teams, he represented his teams with school pride, conducting himself as a gentleman at all times. Matt’s determination to succeed is evident in his work ethic and his respect towards others, he is a pleasure to have in class, has a great personality and always has a positive attitude.”

Justin Boyer was named April’s Student of the Month by his eighth-grade teachers Mr. Travis Barnes, Mrs. Jessica Dow, Mrs. Shannon Sleeper, Mr. Troy Barnes and Mr. Ralph Fantasia.

“Justin is a cooperative student who has consistently improved academically throughout the year,” said the CMS teachers. “He is a helpful homeroom student giving his time after the school day to decorate our doors for the School Pride door decorating contest and is a new member of the Caribou Middle School track team.”

Katie Pelletier a member of the eighth grade at CMS was named Student of the Month for April by her teachers Mr. Troy Barnes, Mrs. Dow, Mrs. Sleeper, Mr. Travis Barnes and Mr. Fantasia.

“Katie is a member of the Caribou Middle School band, soccer and softball teams,” stated her teachers. “A  Student Government representative as well as a member of the Developmental Assets Team, she excels academically and is a role model student. Katie helped her homeroom with Theme Day activities as a flag bearer.”
