    Farrar, Naomi J., 41, May 15, 2011.  Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home. Calling hour to be held Friday, May 20  at the First Baptist Church, 112 Washington St., Rumford from noon to 1 p.m., followed by services.
PT Naomi Farrar    DIXFIELD – Naomi Jean Farrar, 41, died Sunday, May 15, at Mid Maine Medical in Portland of a sudden illness. Naomi was born Jan. 13, 1970  in Rumford, the daughter of Foster and Brenda (Brown) Horne.
    She graduated from Rumford High in 1988 and from UMF in the class of 1993. Children and ministries to serve them were deeply important to Naomi and she had been teaching her children at home. She taught and assisted with CEF Good News Clubs, Sunday school, CEF Camp Good News, Vacation Bible School, and any opportunity to help and comfort a soul in need. Naomi was a foster parent and a founder of a ministry to serve crisis pregnancies and new parents in need. She loved to knit, sew, crochet, cook and walk in the woods, but mostly she loved her Lord and her family. God bless her soul.
    Naomi is survived by her husband of nearly 17 years, Rodney Farrar; children, Esther, Vernon, Elizabeth, Katherine, and Mary, all of Dixfield; her parents, Foster Horne of Peru and Brenda Swan of Dixfield; father-in-law, Rodney Farrar Sr. and his wife, Irene, of Hodgdon; mother-in-law, Linda McLaughlin of Linneus; brother, Ralph Horne and wife, Barbara, of Mexico; sister, Terry Hathaway and husband, Mark, of Attleboro, MA; sisters-in-law, Dr. Carol Farrar and her husband, Brian Marzan, of Lewiston, Susie Farrar of Orrington, and Jill Faulkner and husband, Jeff Minchin, of Pittston; aunts, Gloria Donahue and Betsy Waleik; several nieces and nephews and special friends Michelle, Kelly, Bonnie, Jeannean, and Sarah.
    Friends called 12-1 p.m. on Friday, May 20 at the First Baptist Church, 112 Washington Street, Rumford where funeral services were held at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send donations to help this family continue their home-school and further education to Farrar Children, c/o Franklin Savings Bank, P.O.
