PRESQUE ISLE — Nine young ladies competed for the title of Pre-Teen Miss Presque Isle 2011, while five did their best to win the Teen Miss Presque Isle 2011 title on May 7 — with Mayce Kinney and Megan Byers winning in their respective categories when the night came to an end.
This year’s combined pageants were held once again at the Presque Isle High School Auditorium, serving as a fundraiser for the PIHS Class of 2012. The night kicked off with all contestants and the 2010 queens, Pre-Teen Miss Presque Isle Yessinia Vilar and Teen Miss Presque Isle Hanna Patterson, taking to the stage for a jazz-themed opening number. Mistresses of ceremonies for the event were Kelsey Buck and Alecia da Cruz.
