PI Daisy & Brownie Girl Scout Troop 1137
PRESQUE ISLE DAISY AND BROWNIE GIRL SCOUT TROOP 1137, led by Dina Harding, Roxanne Poole, Courtney Lovely and Julie Knight, recently implemented a local recycling project at the beginning of April in anticipation and recognition of Earth Day on April 22 by securing redeemable bottle donations from family, friends, and neighbors of the Presque Isle area and surrounding communities.

The proceeds earned from the bottle drive redemptions are being sent to a local Homeless Shelter, as per a vote and decision made by the girls. Troop 1137 wishes to thank all those who donated to help make this charitable recycling project a success! Pictured with some of their donations collected are, from left, front row: Daisy Girl Scouts Allison Morton, Jayden Lovely, Eva Callioras, Madyson Wark and Amelia Dyer. Back row: Brownie Girl Scouts Courtney Harding, Lexee McKinney, Josalyn Wark and Caroline Brown. Absent when the photo was taken was Brownie Jeanna Knight. The primary focus of Girl Scouts is to build courage, character and confidence in girls. Anyone interested in joining Girl Scouts can call toll free 1-888-922-GSME (4763) or visit www.girlscoutsofmaine.org for more information.
