PRESQUE ISLE — Nearly 100 people turned out on a recent weekend morning to enjoy an entertaining, and inexpensive, showing of the family film “Cars 2” as part of a Momentum Matinee event held in June at the Braden Theater.
Presented by sponsor Willette’s Automotive, Momentum members and their families were able to enjoy the digitally-animated movie — the day after the movie was released in theaters — at a discounted price. Members had access to $2 tickets thanks to this special sponsorship by the Presque Isle-based auto repair shop.
Momentum Aroostook, which has offered similar weekend movie opportunities in the past, held the matinee event to provide its membership with a fun, family-themed activity exclusively for Momentum members.
“We wanted to provide another opportunity for families in the area to do something fun together and were pleased to be able to partner with Willette’s Automotive and the Braden Theater on this,” Momentum Aroostook Chair Scott Violette said. “We had an excellent turnout and people definitely enjoyed the discounted tickets courtesy of Willette’s Automotive. This has become a signature event for us and a favorite among our members. We’re hoping to offer another Momentum Matinee later this year.”
