FORT FAIRFIELD — Gov. Paul LePage, his wife and daughter, were guests of honor at the Maine Potato Blossom Festival Parade this past weekend. LePage walked the parade route moving from side-to-side speaking with voters one-on-one, taking time for photo shots, and giving “high-fives” to children and teens along the way.

The governor was greeted with cheers and clapping as he worked the parade route for more than two hours with U.S. Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-Maine), while his wife, Ann, was holding up one end of the Aroostook County Republican parade banner along with other Aroostook Republicans marching behind him.
At the end of the parade, the governor and Mrs. LePage joined Snowe for a hot dog at the Aroostook County Republican Party tent where he and members of the Aroostook Legislative Delegation stood for a picture with the new “Maine is Open for Business” sign, which will be placed at the northern border as a twin for the one in Kittery.
