Tips help locate Bragg

On July 13 at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Caribou Police Department received information that 29-year-old Christopher Bragg was spotted in a vehicle being driven by 25-year- old Roger Simard near the Washburn Road.
Once Bragg was spotted at a residence on the Washburn Road, Officers Corey Saucier, Keith Ouellette and Mark Gahagan, all of the Caribou Police Department, and Warden Ryan Fitzpatrick of the Maine Warden Service, surrounded the perimeter. After speaking with the homeowners, Bragg gave up without incident.
Bragg was charged with escape and violation of conditional release after fleeing police as he was being arrested on July 7. At the time he had six outstanding arrest warrants. Bragg was brought to the Aroostook County Jail where he will appear in court on Sept. 8.
Also arrested in the incident on July 13, was Roger Simard, for hindering apprehension in his part in “harboring” Bragg. Simard made bail at $1,000 cash and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 8.
Caribou Police Chief Michael Gahagan offers his thanks to the public for the calls and tips regarding Bragg’s whereabouts. These calls and tips ultimately led to Christopher Bragg’s arrest.
