Steve Farnham, executive director for the Aroostook Agency on Aging headquartered in Presque Isle, spoke to the Fort Fairfield Rotary Club about the proposed reduction to Medicare buy-in benefits and the impact that it will have on our senior citizens here in Aroostook County. He explained Gov. Paul LePage’s proposal to change the income limits for eligibility and the resulting effect it will have on seniors. Farnham encouraged Rotarians to contact their legislative representatives on the Appropriations Committee to express their concerns.
