Caribou High School Golf

A meet the coaches/sign-up meeting for students in grades 9-12 interested in playing on the Caribou High School golf team will be held Wednesday, August 10. The meeting will be in the CHS gym from 5:30-6:00 p.m. Any student, male or female, wishing to play should attend.

County Baseball Tournament

The Caribou Recreation Department wrapped up their County Baseball Tournament on August 3 with a fantastic pitchers’ dual between Fort Fairfield’s Ryan Player and Presque Isle’s Sam Gray.

Gray had 10 strikeouts and gave up two hits to Carter Bruce and Chris Giberson.

Fort’s Player pitched a great game as well only allowing 2 runs, 2 hits and striking out 9 batters. Gray and Brycen Libby both scored for Presque Isle.

With not many base runners, the game moved along very quick with Presque Isle winning the 2011 County Pee Wee Championship 2 to 0.

Fall Basketball

The Limestone Recreation Department will be having its second season of Fall Co-Ed Basketball for anyone who would like to play.

There will be an informational meeting on Thursday, August 18 at 6:30 p.m. to enter a team and discuss rules.

Anyone interested in more info can contact Amanda Brooker at 325-4791 for more information.
