GRADE 1-2 SOCCER

The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department is currently taking registrations for their grade 1 & 2 fall soccer program. This program meets Tuesday and Thursdays from 3-4:30 pm from Sept. 6 through Oct. 6. Pre-registration is required for this program. Registration deadline is Sept. 2.

ALL ABOUT ME

This program is designed for girls in grades 7-11. The goal is for girls to grow and learn through skills trainings, mentoring, journaling and self awareness activities. Girls will work on topics such as conflict resolution, healthy living, loving themselves, building and cultivating healthy relationships. Pre-registration is required. Session 1 runs from Aug. 30 – Dec. 1 and meets on Tuesday and Thursdays from 3-6 p.m. The fee for this program is $25.

SANDBAGGERS AFTERSCHOOL GOLF PROGRAM

This program is for youths in grades 6-8 and meets Monday and Wednesdays from 3-5 p.m. from Aug. 22 thru Sept. 28. Participants should bring their own clubs if possible. Some equipment is available. FALL OUTINGS FOR ADULTS AND SENIORS

New this fall are outings geared towards adults and seniors. A flyer with the full list of trips being offered is available at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center. Below is a list of some of the outings being offered. Pre-registration is required for these trips. FMI call 493-4224. Sept. 3, guided kayak trip down Madawaska Stream, ages 18-55; Sept. 6-8 guided sightseeing trip to Bar Harbor Ages 55 and over; Sept. 10, guided bike tour along Aroostook County’s rail beds, ages 18-55; Sept. 13, guided birding tour, ages 55 and over; Sept. 15, guided sightseeing tour to Oxbow, ages 55 and over; Sept. 17-18, guided overnight trip to Baxter State Park, ages 18-55; and Sept. 20, guided sightseeing tour to Spudland Alpacas/Wood Prairie Farms, ages 55 and over.
