PT Monique Beaulieu    PORTLAND – Monique E. Beaulieu, 101, of Portland, died August 19, 2011 at Mercy Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on July 9, 1910 in Madawaska, a daughter of Eloi and Leonie (Dufour) Albert.
    She attended local schools. Monique married Edmund Beaulieu on June 24, 1930 at St. David’s Church in St. David.
    She was a communicant of St. Louis Church in Portland, where she was a member of the St. Louis Society and also a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Houlton, where she was a member of the Houlton Council of Catholic Women. Monique was a member of the Senior Citizens RSVP Program and the Golden Age Club.
    She worked at the North Store in Houlton for many years and she worked at a tailor shop on Exchange Street in Portland.
    Monique was predeceased by her parents; her husband in 1979; a sister, Rachel Roy; four brothers, Donat A., Alphonse A., Leo and Romeo A. Surviving are four daughters, Rita McDade of Houlton, Doris Kilfoil and her husband, Clifford, of Brunswick, Anne Rhoades and her husband, John, of Brunswick, Teresa Eagers and her husband, Charles, of Farmington; four sons, Edmund T. Beaulieu and his wife, Trudy, of Brewer, Carl A. Beaulieu of Andover, MA, Franklin T. Beaulieu of Saco, Francis R. Beaulieu and his wife, Mary, of West Rutland, VT.; three sisters, Cecile Guerette of Washburn, Marie-Louise Parent of Van Buren, Martha Guerette and her husband, Antoine, of Saint David; 26 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
    Relatives and friends are invited to attend a mass of Christian burial at 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at St. Louis Catholic Church, 279 Danforth Street, Portland. A reception will follow. A 10 a.m. Memorial Mass will be held September 17, at St. Mary’s Church, 112 Military Street, Houlton. A reception will follow. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Houlton. Portland arrangements handled by Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland. Houlton arrangements by Donald Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park Street, Houlton.
