HOULTON — A free workshop for writers in the Houlton area will be offered on Oct. 26, from 6-8 p.m. at the Education Center at Houlton Regional Hospital, 20 Hartford St. in Houlton. Author Shonna Milliken Humphrey will host the workshop, entitled “Generating Creative Thinking.”
All area writers, whether aspiring or accomplished, are encouraged to attend. The interactive workshop will focus on recovering and conquering barriers that stifle creative thinking; effectively using figurative and concrete language to improve writing skills; development of narrative story lines and the use of dialogue; and a hands-on approach to self-editing.
