JANDREAU, Helen Mae, 84, PRESQUE ISLE, September 26, 2011. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m., Wed., Sept. 28, 2011, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Presque Isle. Interment at North Main St. Catholic Cemetery following the service. Arrangements by Duncan-Graves Funeral Homes, Presque Isle.

PRESQUE ISLE – Helen M. Jandreau, 84, passed away at a Presque Isle hospital, Monday, September 26, 2011, after a long illness, with her family by her side. She was born May 25, 1927, in Portage Lake, the daughter of Allen and Annie (Pye) Good Morrow.

She attended East Hampton High School in CT, graduating in 1944. After high school, she returned to Presque Isle where she married the late Roland G. Jandreau and raised six children. Helen enjoyed being a homemaker and her work at the A&P Plant in Fort Fairfield as well as the University of Maine Co-Operative Extension Service in Presque Isle. She also loved to play bingo, knitting, puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren. Helen was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Presque Isle as well as a member of the Daughters of Isabella.

She is survived by two daughters: Judith A. O’Neil and her husband, Jim of Wallingford, CT, and Susan M. Scott and her husband, Matthew of Hampden; four sons: Donald G. Jandreau and his wife, Melanie of Deland, FL, Clifford “Kip” J. Jandreau of Panama City Beach, FL, Chester P. Jandreau and his wife, Darla of Martinsville, IN, and Lester P. Jandreau and his wife, Vikki of Mapleton; her precious eleven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind two brothers: William Good of Garfield, and Arthur Good of Portage; two sisters: Kathleen Currier of Oxbow and Annabelle Adoff of Naples, FL; as well as many family members and friends, too numerous to mention.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Roland Jandreau; a sister, Laura Spurlin; grandsons: Matthew Jandreau and Nicholas Scott.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Ray Morency celebrant. Interment will take place at North Main St. Catholic Cemetery following the service. Arrangements in care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle.
