PIMS Cross Country teams
THE PRESQUE ISLE MIDDLE SCHOOL Cross Country teams recently acquired new team T-shirts.

According to coach Kim Wright, “I knew a couple of the kids had Moms who are fighting breast cancer (specifically Kathy Swanson and Heidi Graham of Mapleton) and wanted to be able to support them in some small way as a team. I found the T-shirt, and where we offer the purchase of a T-shirt each season, thought this would be a great way to let the families and their athletes know we were behind them. As it turned out, we received them just in time for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.” The T-shirts are pink and white tie-dyed with a breast cancer awareness ribbon on the front, along with “PIMS Cross Country.”
The back of the T-shirts say “Worn with Pride.” The girls’ team was recently named League Champs and the boys’ team placed second. Mandy Graham was named League Champion.
