The No. 3 Houlton Shiretowners take their 11-2 record into the Class C quarterfinals today at 4:30 p.m. when they meet visiting No. 6 Dexter.
Dexter defeated George Stevens Academy, 5-1, in its preliminary game.
Tyler Salsbury and Jared MacDonald scored two goals apiece, with Will Pearsall scoring a single tally for the 11-3-1 Tigers. Ryan Wilks and Erik Nytell each had two assists. Vinnie Malinauskas stopped one of three shots.
GSA’s Alex Ben Olivari made eight saves on 16 shots.
The No. 4 Southern Aroostook Lady Warriors were scheduled yesterday to meet No. 5 Van Buren in Dyer Brook. The winner moves onto the semifinal game on Friday.
If Southern Aroostook wins, they will face the winner of Washburn/Bangor Christian.
