Houlton High School students collected about $175 Oct. 29 as part of its “Change for Change” program and chose to donate the funds to the Bridge for Hope cancer support group. Change for Change is sponsored by the Junior/Senior High School Student Councils and each week a different individual, family or group is selected to raise money for. Students and Staff are encouraged to bring in loose change for the collection each Friday. Last year, several thousand dollars were raised over the course of the school year. Those who participated wore pink to school to support cancer research.
