CARIBOU — Dorothy T. Morgan, 88, passed away on November 7, 2011 at a Caribou Nursing Home. She was born on February 28, 1923 in Fort Fairfield, Maine, the daughter of Columbus and Agnus Page.
Dot was manager of S & H green stamp store in Caribou. George and Dot owned Montgomery Wards Agency and G M Morgan Company, a flooring and wall paper company for many years. George and Dot retired in 1982 to winter in Florida and spend summers in Caribou until 1997, where they have resided ever since that time.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, George Morgan of Caribou; her children, Arthur and Diane Libby from California, Gale and Bob Bischoff of North Carolina, Richard and Karen Libby of CT, Terry and Henri Bercier of CT; three step-daughters, Sally and Bruce Blackman of Maine, Ann and Michael Gahagan of Caribou, and Susan and Dean Erickson of Colorado. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her first husband, Galen Libby.
There will be a private family service at a later date with interment at the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery in Caribou. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dot’s memory may be made to the Caribou Rehab and Nursing Center, 10 Bernadette St., Caribou, ME 04736.
