Northern Maine Community College Wind Turbine field trip

Back in October, fourth and fifth graders from Southern Aroostook Community School participated in a National 4-H Science Day. Students constructed Wind Turbines in groups using cardstock, paper, and tape.  Their goal was to create a wind turbine that could conduct the most amount of energy. This activity allowed students to explore in the world of science and inevitably became scientists for the duration of the experiment.
Due to the success and interest of the National Science Day activity, the ASP staff decided to make this a real life experience for the students.  Experiences leave imprints on the lives of students.
