Mitchell Bartlett, East Grand senior and fourth-year Outdoor Education student, had some hands-on training as he assisted Dave Conley of Canoe the Wild Guide Service on a moose hunt in the Danforth area. In the photograph, Bartlett, standing, is with Paul Graboski (sub-permittee) of Long Island, N.Y.  While the moose wasn’t bagged until later in the week, the morning hunt by canoe added to the overall hunting experience. The holder of the permit was Walter Bennett also of Long Island who bagged a good-sized bull. Bartlett has a desire to become a future Maine guide and appreciated the opportunity to take part in the hunt.
