WESTON – Blaine “Shadow” Pratt, 73, went home to be with the Lord Nov. 16, 2011, surrounded by his loving family at home. He was born March 31, 1938, in Weston, son of Lyndon and Ethel (Peters) Pratt.
As a young man he was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors and a challenge. He worked at Rideout’s Sporting Camps for many years until the love of the outdoors lured him back. He owned and operated trucks and logging equipment, and made many friends in the business. He retired in 2004 due to illness. He spent seven more great years with his wife and family at the camp on East Grand Lake.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sherry (Murray) Pratt of Weston; he raised three beautiful daughters, Tonya and Robin Faulkner, Laurie and Scott Hanington, all of Wytopitlock, and Holly and Ryan Dicker of Danforth; six grandchildren, Lindsay and Eric Chase of Brewer, Joshua and Tayla Faulkner of Winn, Michael Hanington and Sonya of Amity, Alex Hanington and Tasha of Linneus, Kyle Dicker of Danforth, and Kaleb Dicker and Jamie of Hodgdon; seven great-grandchildren, Jayden, Jenna, Tegan, Ethan, Cameron, Emma and unborn Bently Blaine; one brother, Charles “Doug” and his wife, Sandra, of Bangor; three sisters, Linna and Carl McLaughlin, Joyce and Robert Kinney, all of Danforth, and Beverly and Terry Binotto of Sandy Creek, N.Y.; many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind special friends, John and Ardis Hayman, and Carl and Brenda Campbell. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by Linna Jo Wood and Caden Hanington.

Friends called 6-9 p.m. Saturday at Clay Funeral Home-Bartlett Chapel, 24 Houlton Road, Danforth. Friends and family were invited to the interment 2 p.m. Sunday at Danforth Cemetery.
