Flags made impact
To the editor:
I would like to thank the Lions Club of Mapleton for the wonderful American flags in town. When I made my coffee this morning, it was beautiful to see our Red, White and Blue from the front window!
Seeing the flags and thinking of this day, helped to put my day into the proper perspective. I feel a huge loss in my life without sweet Murrey but I also know that I thank God every day for my blessings. I have made some very wonderful friendships with kind people, and as long as we have our health, some work and a home that has love and laughter in it, and beautiful memories to sustain us, we have it all!
Thank you for reminding all of us how lucky we are to live in America. May we all appreciate God’s blessings and thanks to our service people, past and present.
