Caribou High School hands out fall sports awards

CARIBOU — Caribou High School has wrapped up its fall sports season with the annual Fall Sports Award Ceremony held on Nov. 14.

The high school basketball season is under way. Monday was the first day high schools could hold tryouts or practices for winter sports. About 30 Caribou high school students attended this tryout for the boys basketball program.

MVP awards were handed out to: Reggie Rideout, varsity golf; Chad Caverhill, boys varsity soccer; Morgan Swan, girls varsity soccer; Caleb Chapman, boys varsity cross country; Mackenzie Belyea, girls varsity cross country; Zeb Johnson, boys JV cross country; Mackenzie Deveau, girls JV cross country; Nick Matlock, boys JV soccer; and Emily Patton, girls JV soccer.

JV girls soccer coach Andrew Kirby handed out letters to Kristin Plante, Jessica Rowland, Mallorie Cyr, Danielle Greenier, Morgan Outing, Sabrina Haney, Briana Rossignol, Gabby Gorence, Emma Jandreau, Emilee Susi, Chaya Karunasiri, Emily Patton, Samantha Camy, Nicole McHattie, Madison Doody, Rebecca McDougal, Emma Duplissie-Cyr, Kelsie Espling and managers Danielle Chase and Mariella Marte.

Varsity girls soccer coach Todd Albert presented letters to Sarah Doak, Alana Sirois, Clara Collins, Delaney Williams, Regan Buck, Haley Hunter, Alissa Randolph, Reanna Plourde, Erin Madore and manager Tori Dagenhardt. Plaques were given to Kendra Stephens and Katelynn Tardie. Ginger Kieffer, Hannah Hebert, Olivia and Meredith Sleeper, Sam Murchison, Sarae Sager and Katie Keaton were presented trophies. Jackets were awarded to Jamie Martin, Paige Small, Morgan Swan and manager Demarre Doody-Corriveau.

Golf coach Shawn Savage presented a letter to Katie Pelletier. Connor Thibeault and Corey Rideout were awarded plaques. Trophies were given to Reggie Rideout, Ben Wyman and Matt Kamm. Caleb Chapman was awarded a jacket.

Keegan Wakana, the boys JV soccer coach, presented letters to Nick Matlock, Taylor Miller, Jared Fox, Austin Griffeth, Dustin Bouchard, Taylor Thibodeau, Dylan Conroy, Alex Scott, Caleb Findlen, Colby Holdsworth and David Pelkey.

Boys varsity soccer coach Scott Hunter presented a certificate to Nate Tucker. Letters were awarded to Matt Manter, Sergio Zapata, Adam Collins, Austin Caverhill, Mike Selander, Kaleb Corriveau, Matt Frost, Kameron Manter, Cody Herbert, Dayne Savage and Nick Whitehead. Matt Milliard, Sean Barbosa, Lucien Caverhill, Nolan McDuffie and Breen Blackstone were given plaques. A trophy was presented to Dean Walker and Chad Caverhill was given a jacket.

Girls varsity cross country coach Thomas Beckum presented JV letters to Katherine Page, Mackenzie Deveau, Chelsea Haney, Sirena Cyr, Rebecca Page, Lauren Cahpman, Melanie Biggs, Allissa Irving, Kaitlynn Ring, Elise Gudde, Rebecca Walker, Sara Hamlin, Annie Collins, Katrina McPherson, Paige Nadeau, Marigan Doody. Varsity letters were given to Chelsea Bard, Rene Dube, Nerisssa Larrabee, Kristen Macek and managers Paige Nadeau, Lacy Cyr, Tiffany Bishop and Alexis McCrossin. A plaque was give to Natasha Bishop. Mackenzie Belyea and Ashley Richards received trophies and Kelly Kashian and Katie Plourde were awarded jackets.

Boys varsity cross country coach Roy Alden presented JV letters to Graham Freme, Tyler Strid, Nate Wall, Brendan Cyr, Zeb Johnson, Michael Marquis, Tanner Sterner and Greg Martin. Varsity letters were awarded to Cody Charette, Lucas Kinney, Ron Lund, Josh Kovach, Brendan Wood, Marc Sturzl and managers Freem Cyr, Lacie Cyr and Chris Michaud. Plaques were given to Caleb Chapman, Ryan Washington, Kjetil Rossignol, Charm Karunsiri, and managers Tiffany Bishop, Paige Nadeau and Alexis McCrossin. A trophy was awarded to Jesse Sandstrom
