PI schools to present winter concerts
PRESQUE ISLE — The SAD 1 Music Department would like to announce its winter concert schedule.
The Presque Isle High School Concert Band, Jazz Band and Chorus will be performing Monday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. in the PIHS auditorium. The three groups will be performing several seasonal favorites along with “Flip, Flop and Fly,” “Sing, Sing, Sing,” a Hebrew piece about peace called “Ha Shalom” and some American folk music.
The Presque Isle Middle School Concert Band and Chorus will be performing Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. in the PIMS auditorium. The two groups will also perform some seasonal favorites along with “Joshua Fit the Battle,” “La Bamba” and “America the Beautiful.”
Although both concerts are free of charge and open to the public, donations will greatly appreciated. Any donations will support the Music Boosters and the 2012 Heritage Music Festival. Please attend to enjoy an evening or two of great music performed by local students.
